Data Recorder control and analysis software for use with Heim
Systems Recorders.
The Heim Systems DATaRec® D-Series, GSR-Series and Replay Units can be fully
controlled with the FTrans software package. FTrans also allows the set-up of
the Data Recorders
FTrans enables the user to specify the characteristics for every signal
channel. The connection is made either via RS232 or SCSI. If FTrans is used with
the SCSI interface, the data acquisition systems can be used in front-end mode
without writing data to tape but directly to the PC.
A special feature of FTrans is the file transfer function which "translates"
data recorded in DATaRec®-format into formats used by commercially available
analysis software packages. There are several output formats for digital data
such as MIL-STD-1553, IRIG-106,
ARINC 429, PCM etc. as well as formats for
analog data like MATLAB, DADISP, FAMOS, RPC-III, WAV etc.
