Company News - March 2008

The board of Directors of Photo-Sonics International Ltd, unanimously approved the appointment of Michael Le Pelley as Managing Director to succeed Alan Neal, who is standing down after Seventeen years in the role. It is agreed that Alan will continue to offer his experience to the company in a part time consultancy role.

In announcing the change, Alan thanked the staff for their hard work and loyalty over many years and their commitment to the customer focussed policy that has been key to the success of Photo-Sonics International. He also expressed confidence that Michael's twenty plus years of experience, gained within the company, together with his detailed knowledge of our customers, our products and our market place will ensure the continued success of Photo-Sonics International in the coming years.

New Distributors Appointed.

Photo-Sonics International Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of several new distributors for various Aerospace and Automotive products within Europe.

Pro Sys Srl of Romania, Mashpriborintorg-Volna Co Ltd of Russia and SmartAge of Turkey join I.E.M.A. of Portugal as our main representatives.

Announcement: Photo-Sonics Inc awarded Missile Tracking Contract

US Naval Air Systems Command has awarded Photo-Sonics a contract to supply a Mobile, Multi-Sensor, Time-Space-Position Information (TSPI) System (MMTS) for the Redstone Technical Test Centre.
Photo-Sonics will design, develop, fabricate, integrate, test and deliver the service, allowing the Centre to track and collect TSPI for current and future kinetic energy missiles and weapons that fly a low, flat trajectory at hypervelocity speeds. The contract is expected to close in October 2010.

PRESS RELEASE – 25th August 2006.
Our Ruggedised Video Camera has been updated. The Photo-Sonics PSI 460R II, Ruggedised, Airborne Video camera has been upgraded with new electronics to enable full control via RS232 protocol. This small (54.5 x 38 x 106.5mm (w/h/l) including lenses) colour video camera has been designed to fit into or onto any area of an aircraft. The lens mount holds ensures that the lens will not move or change its settings under test conditions. Three lenses are available in 3.5, 6 & 16mm options. Lens mounts for each and adaptors for other types are also available. The new PSI 460R II shown with a UK 50pence coin for size comparison. This camera is ideally suited to external installation as well as Cockpit, Cabin and Hold monitoring applications. With standard 28V or 12Vdc power requirements and low (3.2W) power consumption the PSI 460R II camera can be installed and operated virtually anywhere.
